MEMBERS MUST ACTIVELY SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE GOALS AND WORK OF THE TASK FORCE
All Commercial Members are expected to:
- Formally agree to the Membership Agreement, Bylaws and Antitrust Documents as stipulated by the Task Force Board. (Please Note: A signed and returned copy of the Membership Agreement is required before the Member can join a Sub-Group or attend Task Force calls and meetings unless written permission is obtained from The Task Force Board via the Secretariat.)
- Contribute financially by means of an annual membership fee.
- Map all Thai supply chains using fishmeal and other seafood products for private label products. To do this, companies are required to work with their supply chains through to processors & farms, feed mills, hatcheries, fishmeal plants and the source of fishmeal in the feed – including all vessel names. (The Task Force can help guide and assist Members through this process.)
- Work with the Task Force to develop a plan for traceability and social audits (when no alternative recognized social auditing program is in place) of their supply chain. Audits are typically paid for by the manufacturers/processors, but any company can discuss cost sharing of audits within their supply chain.
- Work internally within their companies and with their supply chain to adopt/comply with the Task Force Code of Conduct, agree to the relevant List of Task Force Asks and inform them about Task Force audit protocols, applicable national and international standards.
- Contribute to at least one Sub-Group.
- Attend all calls and meetings. There are two face-to-face meetings annually (typically held in Bangkok), a 6 weekly Membership Webinar (typically 60 mins) and regular conference calls / side meetings arranged by the Sub-Group Leaders as needed. Attendance is critical. If a member cannot attend they may send a substitute to the meeting. A member is allowed 3 absences per year.
