Governments, the media and NGOs have documented horrific cases of forced labour and human trafficking in Thailand’s seafood supply chain. The Seafood Task Force (formerly the Shrimp Sustainable Supply Chain Task Force) was formed to tackle these issues.
The Task Force welcomes forward-thinking companies to join this global effort and its drive to solve labour abuse.
Whilst current focus is in Thailand, models being developed are scalable and will allow expansion to other countries and species.
The Seafood Task Force provides the opportunity to act on these needs, with the engagement of the full value supply chain right now.
